Picture this: it's Labor Day, you've got zero obligations, and someone's throwing a completely free, all-day festival with live music, cheap beer, and enough energy to power a small city. That's the Parts & Labor Day festival, happening Monday, September 7th at 1:00 PM at the legendary Parts and Labor Bar in Melvindale, Michigan. Curated by Mad Alchemy Productions, this is the kind of event that makes you wonder why you don't go out anymore.
With a dual-stage setup, you can bounce between heavy progressive and psychedelic sound. Blood Rune Sigil and Good Man's Brother are getting weird indoors while Tyler Chernoff and Jesse Passage will have the outside stage. There's something for everyone, whether you're there to rock out or just get faded.
And because free music needs free (or at least cheap) food, Parts and Labor Bar is firing up a special holiday BBQ menu that'll hit different. In the vendor village, Mystical Mushie, Claire Minneboo, and more will be turning the whole thing into a genuine community celebration, where your money actually stays in the neighborhood. Revolutionary concept, we know.
We love supporting independent businesses, local artists, and the scrappy underground that keeps a region interesting. So grab your crew, block off September 7th, and head to Melvindale. We'll be there, too. Swing by the Adam Detroit booth, check out what's new, and help us celebrate the kind of Labor Day that actually means something.
Support local music. Support local artists. Support local business. See you there.
