It has been a crazy summer here in the Midwest. For months, we were dealing with the haze from the Canadian wildfires (for the record, that is not the kind of smoke we usually endorse here at Faded420). Then, just as the air finally started to clear, the sky decided to dump almost an entire month's worth of rain on us in August.
All of this inclement weather caused some operational stress and forced us to back out of a few in-person events. We tried to salvage them, but it turns out you cannot sell premium streetwear while standing in a swamp.
However, despite these challenges, we are still going strong. In fact, we've been filling out our back-office roles with a new team of dedicated individuals to keep the Faded420 fam moving forward.
Managing this new team has been... interesting. From IT to e-commerce, social media, drop-shipping, and warehousing, we've learned a lot about operating in today's custom merchandising market.
Because we believe in complete transparency, we’ve decided to document exactly what that "learning" looks like. Starting soon, we will be rolling out a regular Faded420 Comic Strip right here on the blog.
Think of it as a dispatch from the trenches of our operations. It will detail all the behind-the-scenes shenanigans as we try to keep the supply chain moving. You'll get to meet a cast of characters that represent the crew running our business and get a hilarious look into the back office of Faded420.
